Who are we looking for?

  • Fully trained clinical supervisors with a recognised supervision qualification (Relate-approved or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 600 client-facing hours gained through a professional qualification in Relationship Counselling or another Relate Service.
  • Deep understanding of systemic and psychodynamic counselling methodologies.
  • A passion for developing others and maintaining high clinical standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience across multiple delivery methods — face-to-face, online, and telephone.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, diversity, and continuous professional development.

What will you do?

  • Provide regular clinical supervision to practitioners in line with Relate’s standards and supervision policies.
  • Support practitioners to manage complex cases, develop clinical skills, and maintain best practice.
  • Facilitate specialist case supervision groups such as sex therapy or family counselling and  monitor practitioner performance.
  • Contribute to service quality through practitioner audits, evaluations, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead on safeguarding issues and risk management, ensuring safe and effective practice.
  • Collaborate with management, contribute to training and workshops, and support the development of student practitioners.
