Individual generic counselling
This is a short term treatment to help you overcome distressing life problems in a supportive, safe environment. At your appointment, you’ll be encouraged to talk about your feelings with a trained therapist who’ll listen and support you without judging or criticising. The therapist can help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes and help you to find your own solutions to problems, but they won’t usually give advice or tell you what to do.
Do you often feel low, anxious, or overwhelmed? Relate offers NHS talking therapies to people with a GP in the East Riding of Yorkshire area, as part of the original Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme. Therapy is offered face to face at our Hull office and Beverley. We also offer our full range of talking therapies by telephone or online. We offer a wide variety of therapies with experienced, registered therapists trained to the highest standards.
