What is Family Counselling?
Family Counselling can help with all kinds of things, from long running issues to things that have only come up following a big change.
Perhaps a member of the family has recently gotten remarried. Or maybe a long running feud is causing lots of upset. You might be struggling to get on with your in-laws. Or want to re-establish your relationship with your parents.
These are just a few examples. Whatever you need help with, our counsellors provide a safe and confidential environment where you can talk things over with someone who won't take sides.
Relate Counsellor Graham explains what Family Counselling is and how it can help:
What happens in Family Counselling?
You can choose to come to Family Counselling alone or with other members of your family.
When you meet your counsellor, they'll ask you about what's going on and what you'd like to see change. If there is more than one person present, they'll listen to each person in turn and make sure that everybody gets a chance to speak.
We know that every family is different so Family Counselling is flexible. We can work with you to decide how often you and your family can attend - as well as the best location for your sessions.
What's the cost of Family Counselling?
We are a charity and don't make a profit from the services we provide. We currently charge between £48 and £88 for each counselling session. If you live within Herefordshire Worcestershire or Gloucestershire, there is a sliding scale of lower charges for those on lesser incomes.
The best way to find out if we can help is to get in contact.
How does it work?
We cover the whole of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. This means you can have face to face counselling to suit you during the day or evenings if you live anywhere in or around Hereford, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Worcester, Ledbury, Ross on Wye, Evesham, Broadway, Stow on the Wold, Cheltenham, Gloucester or Stroud. There is also the option to have counselling via webcam.
We know that one size doesn’t fit all, a single solution or approach cannot adequately address the diverse needs or circumstances of different individuals or situations. That is why the best way to find out if we can help is to get in contact, and we can discuss the best strategy for your individual circumstances.
